Nefertiti Monochrome

An eye-catching silhouette of Nefertiti, a queen that commands one’s attention, with the random strokes of grey and silver representing glamour and sophistication.

Nefertiti is a true global icon of feminine beauty and power. As such, artist Nicole Thornton purposefully created this piece in monochrome to reflect the fact that she was such an important feminine figure in a world and most importantly, at a time when men dominated positions of power. This is why, although created using only grey and black, Nefertit’s silhouette appears to be slightly elevated from the background, making her the key focus of this piece.

The original piece is comprised of two A3 mirror pieces that can be framed either separately or together as recommended. Each piece is sized 29.7 x 42cm.

Note that the white line depicted between the mirror pieces is not a part of the artwork but instead, is shown for display purposes only. You can style the artwork to either include or exclude the space in between the pieces.
