As a BA History graduate, artist Nicole Thornton has always valued the importance of learning and understanding her history. Hence, this piece serves as a bold symbol of the fact that our ancestors were once kings and queens that ruled empires. Sadly, in the present day our history is taught to us in a way that overshadows the accomplishments of our ancestors.
